Feeding the pigeons is such a typical scene in cities the world over, and this shot captures it beautifully. Superb focusing and an excellent choice of shutter speed has resulted in the little girl being pin-sharp and the centre of attention while showing a great sense of movement in the birds. The conversion to black and white gives the shot a timeless documentary feel, while no doubt hiding some of the distracting bright colours of the people in the background.
