Street Performance

November 2021

What a fun photo! I love the blue and orange colors being predominant. They add to the carnival feeling. You have timed this photo so well too with the performer's limbs raised and their wonderful facial expression. Not an easy photo to capture in the street at night!

Such a fun image. I like that you have him nicely isolated as including anything else would have distracted from what is most important. You have cropped him, his instrument, and the fire so well. Good on you for keeping at it until you captured the flame looking so good!

Cool action photo! I love that you have exposed to make the most of the action and surroundings as silhouettes. I think it captures the feeling of urban sport so well. Great composition and timing. I also like the other people in the frame as they add more interest to the photo.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked below 1000 in this week’s Leaderboard.** Performing in public, for tips and the appreciation of the crowd, dates back to antiquity, and covers the full range of the performing arts, from acrobatics and music, to living statues and storytelling. There’s usually action and excitement aplenty to be captured with the camera, and getting as close as possible to the performance will pay dividends. Your conscience might also incline you to chuck a bit of change in the hat as a thank you for the chance to take some snaps.

Another nice silhouette photo with a subject that is well suited. The classic musician is nicely complemented by the structures in the background. You have framed the image well and your exposure and timing are just right. Another photo with lots of atmosphere and feeling!
