Congratulations on your second place in my Studio-Style Portraits of People (in colour) competition,. You are absolutelynailing rembrandt lighting technique, while the image itself looks like "Portrait of a Woman" by Rembrandt himself in 1632. Your ruff even looks to be as big, was this comfortable ? In terms of editing, it is a really clean exaple of what can be done with "less is more".

Congratulations on your top ten entry place in my Studio-Style Portraits of People (in colour) competition. Simplicity and the movement of light around the subject are what drew me to this photo. The negative space also being a favourite of mine but also the fact that this photo is bold enough to not comply to the rule of two thirds nor centre placement and still it portrays a strong man who perhaps is that rulebreaker.

WOW, the power, the energy, the feeling. This image lights a fire inside the viewer. I absolutely love it. Congratulations on your first place in my Studio-Style Portraits of People (in colour) competition. Whilst only the eyes are in focus due to the 1.2 aperture's depth of field, combined with the surrounding imagery they show that the image doesn't always have to be a f8 portrat and have everything in focus.. The black make up encircling the whites of the eyes help to draw the viewer in, I'm not sure why I'm telling you this, you created this masterpiece. It's fantastic.

Well done on your seventh place in my contest "Studio-Style Portraits of People (in colour)". Of the male portraits shown on Photocrowd, this is one of the most striking and easily recognisable and memorable. The reflection of the lights pick up Paul's facial features beautifully, the hand print helps to show the lines on the face strikingly against the darkened skin. The choice of decoration here in it's simplicity is inspired, and helps make this photo so memorable.

Well done on your third place in my contest "Studio-Style Portraits of People (in colour)". In stark contrast to the photo in 1st nearly all of this wonderful photo is in pure statk focus. The subject is laid completely bair, there is no hiding. I imagine that there was minimal post production touching up of this as it's not needed. A fantastic photo doing justice to someone's father someone's grandfather perhaps.
