Sunflowers (no insects or people)

This was a difficult but yet easy decision for me. I can't imagine the glee the photographer felt going through her or his camera reel and realizing s/he had caught a breath of Sunflower. Whoever took this photo....really gets it. Lower your angle? Would have loved more ice and isolation. It's a frozen sunflower..... and I truly wish the view were longer? There are many forms of beauty and the blooming flower is not always the best....

This is a very breathtaking photograph! Definitely a moment caught in time. You definitely caught a moment in time that expresses this specific flower. This is one of those photos I truly wish I was the one who could take credit for it....Love it!!!!

There were many, many, photos of sunflowers in groups. This photo held up on it's own. It is a single sunflower working itself up to a pre-bloom birth...."Emerging" so to speak. It does not have the fanciful colors of a perfect sunflowers' description in this photo. Because the flower is pre perfect....Yet it is....LOVE IT
