Photos that make you take a 2nd and 3rd look and you noticing different things each time are amazing, with this you don't appreciate the scale of the city below mt Fuji until you start seeing the lights that are on in the windows, The other great part of this shot is the tones of the sunset either side of the mountain, I just love them all

This shot stood out to me due to the upright building mixed with the light bouncing off the building and also the fluffy details in the cloud. A really simple composition but a lot has made it work, in particular the nice glow from the sun. When you then start to examine it closer, you notice the scale of the building due to how small the cranes are.

Another amazing standout image that fits the brief very well, I enjoy the feel from this shot with the lens flare running over the shot and also just hitting the sides of the structure, this just lifts all the shadows so you can see so much detail, Perfect

Lobbying the setup in this shot, the person with the dog on the left, the people on the right and the people with the shadows in the middle. All these components make the shot stand out for me. I don't even mind the slightly overpowering sun running down the street as that does allow for us to then get these great shadows.

I really liked this image and how you had handled it, the only things that stopped it from getting into the top 10 for me had to be the top of the framing where the bridge is cut off slightly or just about cut off. To me that would have been amazing if there was a slight gap there so you could see that it was the end of the structure. . The strongest part has to be the light hitting off the road below the arch in the bridge. Nicely shot

A really nice shot and play with silhouettes. You can see this is from a built-up area with the TV masts and you have done it well, but the one thing I can't help but notice is the slither of light coming through at the bottom of the circular object, I just find that a little distracting. The tones, subject matter and shadows work so well with this shot, so very well done indeed

This is very different from the other images submitted so thought it would be worthy of a thank you for doing so, the bird just looks so happy just flying through the air doing what it does, a really nice bit of details for sure.

When I saw this image, immediately I was WOW this is awesome. I normally enjoy structures like this to be in the centre but the off to the right choice for the composition works a treat for this, but the strongest part for me that fits the brief has to be that subtle blend of golden hour blending into the blue hour in the sky, absolutely perfect indeed.

I just adore this shot, it reminds me a tad of something Stephen Shore would take with the well-positioned traffic lights and streetlights. It feels early and cold with the visible breath on the person. I just enjoyed seeing this image each time I flicked through my selection

The rising and setting sun is not always so easily seen in the disrupted skyline of a city, but the warm light still brings a special ambience to the streets. Glass-clad buildings and city-centre rivers can offer interesting golden hour compositions, and there are usually accessible elevated locations, both inside and out, that allow more traditional cityscape imagery.

I really liked this image and the way it has been captured is just spot on. The only thing that has distracted me from it is the person is slightly blurry in comparison to the rest of the shot. I appreciate that it is low light and also that he may have moved slightly but with everything else being so sharp and in focus including the trees in the top right, I just can't help but notice that, but still it is a great image.

Another cracking capture, for me this shot is nicely balanced, with the symmetry of the tower and its reflection and even with the treeline of the left and right-hand sides, this makes the balance work for me. Then the details of the city mixed with the great sunset makes a fab image.

I nearly skipped past this shot to start with, but then I noticed the cranes in place and for me, that with the aeroplane and then that sunset, absolutely top work indeed. That sky is just amazing as you can just keep on looking at the layers in the clouds.

A really really gorgeous image with some early morning light slithering through the image, the depth of field world really well and the rays of light are gorgeous. For me the only distraction is where the light lands such as on the wall, it looks like the highlights have been pulled back a touch to much, but other than that, it's a perfect shot

I really like this image and the placement of the foreground detail. The shot has some other great features such as the floodlights sticking out of the horizon, this to me makes the image stand out that bit further. But overall the sunset, again WOW it must have been magnificent to be there and see it.

A really nicely delivered image that fits the brief perfectly. You can feel the later in the day light and the mix of purple and orange hues flowing through the image, just as you are moving about in the attraction. You can imagine yourself sitting in the seat being on the rider and that is just something that I love.
