Swans in Colour

Lovely image of the swan landing and its reflection gives a mirror image. I love the detail that is captured of the tips of the wings in the reflection. Makes you think if its final land is as elegant as its first touch down. Beautiful photo.

This photo captures the swans beautifully. The mist and the lighting give a romantic feel. Your eye gets drawn into the two swans. I love the timing how they are both looking at each other, even though they are apart across the water it gives you a sense that they are together. Wonder if the meet up in the middle or do they “swan off” into the distance together. Either way, a very well deserved 3rd place.

The fish eye lens gives a different perspective to the world. I love how it feels the swan is trying to peak through the lens back at you. I would never of thought to try and capture a large group photo with a fish eye lens, this works brilliantly and adds a nice depth and feeling to the photo. Well deserved top 10 spot.

This is a very clear shot of the two swans. I like the pink hue to the photo from the sky, gives a romantic feel when you see the two looking at each other. I feel very much a part in the photo like i am there watching these two, waiting to see who makes the first move. Very brilliantly done. Well deserved top 10 spot.

This photo got me from the start. It is very clear even when the swan has broken the calm surface for a drink. I love the way the reflection is as clear as the swan, you could turn this upside down and have to double take to notice that it was a reflection. This gives a sense of calmness and patience. You can see it’s eye looking out into the beyond. Wonder what it is looking at? A truly amazing shot. A well deserved 1st place.

This photo is very calming, reminds you of the tranquility of things on the surface of the water and the beauty of the swan. Makes you wonder if it’s feet are as calm underneath. This is a very clear photo. I also like how balanced the photo is it can be hard sometimes to get it just right. Amazing. Well deserved 5th place.

I like the lighting how the swan is lit from behind, the soft lighting gives a calm and heavenly feel to the photo. It really brings out the fluffiness of its feathers. I wonder where it is drifting to. Perfect capture. Well deserved top 10 spot.

This is a very beautiful capture of the two swans. I like how calm the water is, almost glass like reflection is stunning. You can feel the swans “dancing” the look they give to each other makes you wonder if they end up snuggled up together. An amazing photo. Well deserved 2nd place.

These two swans look very playful. The way the first swan is splashing the water over the second is brilliant. Very good timing. I wonder if the second swan ever gets its own back and splashes the first swan back. Lovely photo. Well deserved top 10 spot.

This is a perfect shot of two swans not seeing eye to eye. The swan in top is certainly showing the one pinned down “who’s boss.” Wonder what the one on the bottom did to the top one to make it pin the other one down. It certainly put a smile on my face. Amazing timing. Well deserved top 10 spot.

Love how clear the photo of the swan is. The rain drops on the feathers and in the background, you can see why it is tucking its beak in. Brilliant shot.

The baby swans look very fluffy and its captured beautifully by how clear the photo is. It makes you think what it is that they are all focusing on, as all three are looking down to the centre. Perfect timing.

I love this photo, it reminds me so much of a fairytale. The love you can see from these two young swans is amazing. Makes you wonder if they will continue this into adulthood the strong bond. Very well captured.
