We all know that saying, I can feel myself stood there in this photo., with this winning shot, I sure can. While looking through all the entries this shot just jumped out at me. The tones, mist and stillness of the location are very evident within this shot, the softness of the mist coupled with the smooth water and detail-rich trees is a shot most landscape photographers would be proud of having in the portfolio. Its always nice to give a little advice, but with a shot like this, I am struggling to find something you could improve on. Thank you for entering and congratulations
Wow, while scrolling through the images this just popped out of the selection as it was very nice. The detail-rich composition, square comp and black and white treatment all compliment each other. For me the shape in the middle of the structure nearly matching the direction of the clouds helps with the shot as well. Overall it is just perfectly balanced with plenty to enjoy looking at.
When you look at an image it is nice to have to look deeper into it and with this, you have to just that. I found myself doing that at the far end of tower bridge and the walkway to see how much detail was lost in the fog but at the same time finding it stunning at how much detail is on the cobbled walkway. The light is very nicely balanced through what would have been a tricky composition to nail along with the exposure and damp conditions

Amazing shot and amazing location to work with it as well, a great example of when Black and white work is used well, allowing the details you want the viewer to see and enjoy to pop out of the shot and start to come to life. The details are exactly as you would love to see them in the foreground, but with the movement of the sky added in it just makes me want to be there right now, stunning work.

For this month's competition Formatt Hitech are asking to see your very best images that capture landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes from around the world. We want to see shots that have been taken with exactly a 60 second exposure. Dibs, a Formatt Hitech ambassador and the judge in this contest, loves shooting long exposures and is normally on the coast shooting them any spare moment he has. He will be looking for images with tac-sharp details in the right places and blur in all the correct spots too. The competition is open to everyone, either professional or amateur. The use of digital enhancement is allowed but not essential, it’s all about the quality and creativity of the picture. **The winner will need to provide the file so we can check the exif data to ensure the correct exposure time was used**.

Very good effort and it was close to getting shortlisted, the exposure is nice and I love the movement with the whites in the water. You have got the rock and lighthouse perfectly sharp. The only bits that unfortunately caught my eye were the watermarks/sensor spots you can see in the sky, plus on the bottom left of the frame, there is a very thin line of the rock protruding out. I would have preferred to have seen either more of that or have it removed. Great effort though and keep up the amazing work.
This is just stunning, it's not often you see images like this, the symmetry of the building is balanced so nicely with the movement of the clouds just whizzing by during the exposure that is timed perfectly. It is great you can see every detail in the structure and through the doors into the hallway.
A stunning image that was so very close to making it into the final selection, beautiful framing and shot so well, the detail in the brickwork and frames are there for you to see in both sides of the pier. For me though, the exposure in the middle of the frame seemed to be a little bit too high and pulls my eye in towards the centre of the shot-creating a bit of a distraction from the beauty of the structures shot either side
