A wonderful photograph and great use of HDR imaging technique to enhance the beauty of an already beautiful space.

The colours are harmonious, the HDR processing subtle, and your composition here is spot on with the oblique angle of wall, door and rolled mattress all guiding the viewers eye into the image, past the shower and basin, and through the open door to the collection of chamber pots beyond.

A very finely crafted image and well worthy of second place.

Congratulations .......

What a great photograph. I love the geometry, the symmetry and the use of black and white. Colour is totally superfluous to the success of this image.

Three is such a photogenic number. Three trees in a field, three birds on a stick, three lemons in a bowl and yes, even three sanitary fittings in a bathroom.

Congratulations on a well deserved top ten placing .......

As I expected this competition received a fairly low number of entries, but what it lacked in quantity I feel it more than made up for in variety and quality. Indeed, my “Top Ten” had 17 images which I had the greatest of trouble in whittling down to the obligatory 10.

This image gains first place by a whisker although on another day any of the top three could have shaded first place, it was that close a call.

What I love here is the contrast between the rustic and austere interior and the clean modern lines of the bath tub which also contrasts its whiteness against the subtle earthy colours of the room and decor.

Whoever installed the bath obviously had an eye for aesthetics as the jaunty angle greatly adds to the composition. It wouldn’t for example be half as pleasing an image if the bath was parallel to the bed.

Were the sheets really grey I wonder or is that some artefact of post-processing? Either way, no matter as this is a beautiful image and well deserving of its placement.

Congratulations .......

A beautiful and quite feminine image and a strong contender for a still-life competition as well as this bathroom themed one.

I don’t know whether you the photographer arranged these items or just happened on them like this but either way someone has a good eye for a most pleasing layout. Each object is interesting in its own right but together make for a very strong composition.

Add in a subtle and harmonious colour palette and sensitive post-processing and you have an image well deserving of a top three placement.

Congratulations ........

Viewpoint and composition are spot on and the colour palette is subdued and harmonious. The reflections in the mirrors add real depth and I really like the way that the light filled inner room pulls the eye into the image.

It's a very classy shot and oh so nearly made it into the top ten. The only faint reservation I have is the inclusion of the pipework below the basin which looks a little messy and distracts the eye somewhat. A cleaner image for me were you to crop the bottom edge to exclude said pipework.

Niggles apart a damned fine image and well worthy of the highest of commendations ........

What a beautiful bathroom and I love the minimalism of both the fittings and the colour scheme.

The light is softly complementary and your chosen viewpoint works well though I’d have been tempted to step back slightly were it possible to include just a touch more floor below the pipework on the left.

I’m so glad that you treated the view through the window with restraint leaving it soft and pastel in a way that pulls the eye into the image without clashing in any way with the room interior. A heavier hand may have overplayed the use of high dynamic range technique and spoiled the shot.

Congratulations on a well deserved top ten placing .......
