I would like to see your photos of anything that conveys the feeling of softness. It could be anything from the feeling of the texture of an animal's fur, to a soft blanket of freshly fallen snow. Use your imagination to capture the feeling of softness.
A lovely image which is so sharp, that all the fine details are evident, especially the fine texture in the feathers. This makes those owls look so soft you want to feel that delightful softness and cuddle them. A great use of monochrome against a black background accentuating the detail of the feathers. Congratulations on a well deserved 3rd Place and thank you for entering my competition.
What a wonderful bundle of soft fluffiness! Sharp on the eyes and beaks but still soft on their cute little bodies. Giving the viewer a lovely feeling of softness. A great depth of focus, warm colour, with the one little duckling looking you straight in the eye. This duckling is perfectly sited according to the rule of thirds, which makes a great focal point. What an adorable kitten! So soft and cuddly! Beautifully photographed and edited to create a lovely feeling of softness. The use of the grey blanket balances the grey tones of the kitten, with the brown basket also matching those similar tones.. The narrow depth of focus combined wth the subtle vignette blur enhances the image further. To top it off the kitten is looking straight at the viewer. What a lovely Fine Art image! From the moment I saw it, it evoked dream like emotions of softness in me. The main feather is sharp where needed, with a very controlled narrow depth of focus. This draws the viewer into the image, to be like floating on cloud of dreamy softness. The pastel tones enhance that feeling. Thank you for entering my competition. Lovely soft cygnets. I feel I just want to cuddle them. Photographed and edited so well to maintain their creamy softness. A great use of a dark background, warm tones, vignetting and controlled depth of focus. The sharp eyes and beaks combined with the interaction between them, draws you into that focal point.
