A very interesting composition. The frame divided into quarters, and further divided into quadrants with radiating bars. This acts as a perfect frame for the Child's portrait. The lighting is well controlled with the portrait confined to just the single quadrant. This helps to give a feeling of interest and curiosity If the photographer had shown the child's hand in an adjacent quadrant the portrait would have given a story of confinement. You have made a memorable child's portrait that has left the viewer wondering about the situation. Well done and congratulations on being my number one selection.
A perfectly timed capture. Its all about the positional relationship between the viewer and the portrait and you have nailed it! The observer manages to hide one eye completely and at the same time the slope of his back follows the contour of the portraits cheek. The visitor's bright harmonious clothes make a nice contrast with the portrait. Well done and congratulations on being in my top ten selection.
I found this image very hypnotic. There is something about the wide eye look, the "V" composition with the hand and the Zebra skin background that is compelling. The image is very well balanced and sits perfectly within a square format. The image reminds me of portraits of Salvador Dali, who always seemed to have his eyes very wide open. A nice portrait, well done and congratulations on being in my top ten selection.
A action photo that meets the brief perfectly. With just enough of the child showing to tell the full story. With pursed lips, closed eyes and extended cheeks he looks like he/she is giving it everything. This image has good lighting with a well balanced asymmetrical composition that has left a satisfying negative space. Well done and congratulations on being in my top ten selection.

This image stood out for me because of the composition, lighting and texture. I like the position of the man in the frame, creating good negative space. Contrast and texture on muscle and skin is excellent. Hand and finger position is spot on and gives that little extra to a memorable portrait. Well done and congratulations on being in my top ten selection.
