This is a fantastic and well-captured shot that fits the brief.: a wonderful scene captured just as the moon is rising and the sunlight is setting on the St Helens church tower and a warm glow of the lights of Bembridge in the distance. This evokes the image of sailors coming and out of the solent and looking for this church tower as a marker of a safe anchorage.

Thanks for this fabulous shot with so much action and enjoyment on a summer's day from the dry land gun barrel viewpoint aiming out at the yachts heading out on their race round the Island. Your image has vivid colour and energy that you can almost feel the buzz from the contenders on their splendid craft!

Thanks for entering this contest with your vibrant and uplifting capture of the Cowes round the Island yacht race. This scene typifies an image that is instantly recognisable as the Isle of Wight with its stunning cliffs and Needles with vivid blue Solent.

This is a beutfiul and emotive image. I chose to review this because, although it does not typify an Island landscape it is representative of the Island's royal heritage.

Princess Elizabeth was the daughter of King Charles I and. Like her father, she was imprisoned at Carisbrooke Castle. Tragically she died there in 1650 at the age of 14 after developing a chill while playing bowls on the lawn just weeks after her arrival.

Thanks for submitting your fantastic capture into this contest. This is just what I wanted to see. It is an unusual viewpoint of a well-documented scene of the Needles and Lighthouse. I love the craft almost trying to outrun the storm clouds. Wonderful colours and hues. Well done!

I love this shot taken from a Vectis bus. The light from inside the bus creates an almost ghostly trail. I think it is also a clever capture with the movement and highlights that traffic going round the roundabout. Excellent!

Thank you for submitting this wonderful and eye-catching shot of the Appley, Ryde beach folly Appley Tower. I love the colours which evoke calm and beauty and you did well to avoid pedestrians walking along enjoying the beautiful scene with far-reaching beach and two of the Solent forts on the horizon. Well done!

A beautiful Isle of Wight sunrise shot and a scene that is worthy of inclusion in a holiday brochure representing the Island. You have captured a wonderful calm scene with reflections in the smooth sand where the tide is on its way out.
