A striking photograph and classic example of what nice results one can achieve with long exposure. But also a gentle reminder that London is architectural not just about the Shard, Gherkin Building or the new developments in Canary Wharf. There is also life on the left side of the Parliament, here in form of the buildings around Vauxhall Bridge. Technical a perfect shot with the right level of contrast and I like the photographers intention to use the method of LE to separate the buildings from the background and with the milky water it almost feels like the buildings are floating. Very well done and well deserved 1st place.

Really nice shot and a great example of the very modern London as it is today. I believe this is the gateway to Canary Wharfs Crossrail Link and you captured it just at the right moment when there were no people obstructing the view down the walkway. The leading lines are nicely pronounced and the lighting is spot on to support the futuristic element of this shot. There were a few similar entries in this competition but yours is the most tidy at the right (eye) level to get a glimpse not only of the depth but also the symmetry of the structure. Well done.

When I first came to London I was actually looking for exactly these spaces. Hidden behind the glass fronts of todays modern London are still these hidden gems, witnesses of a time long gone but still as if the time stopped 100 years ago. Very nicely framed shot with the street lamp (not too bright) illuminating the picture to the right dramatic level. I would have probably converted the pic into B&W to give it even more an early 20th century (or before) look but it is still an amazing picture of the original London behind todays modern metropole. Thank you for reminding me how beautiful and calm London can be.

No wonder London is chosen for so many Science Fiction movies the latest one being Star Wars which was filmed in Canary Wharf station. Awsome shot, I just like the symmetry that London has to offer and this is nicely captured in this shot. The viewpoint is almost in the middle of the tube which enhances the viewing experience, the lighting is spot on which can be tricky sometimes. I think that, if there were people in the picture, the shot would have not had the impact it has now and keeping people out of any picture in London is an art for itself. Its pin-sharp and perfectly centred. Well done.

Greenwich Foot Tunnel :-) When I opened this competition this is exactly the kind of picture I had in mind. Not only that I am a huge fan of the tunnel, having lived in Canary Wharf for a long time, it is also one of the hidden gems that not many people who come to London know about. People often avoid it because of convenience when taking the DLR instead of doing the quick walk under the Thames. Anyway, nicely lit and the contrast is adding to the dramatic nature of the tunnel. Shot at the right level it gives me a true feel of the depth of the tunnel. Great shot and well deserved space in the top 10.
