Thank you for submitting your photo in my contest! This was a very unique shot that I was unable to guess its origin until reading the title. The colours were surprisingly rich and vibrant and left me with mixed feeling once I figured out what I was looking at. Combining a weird subject with wonderful colour and texture was some out of the box thinking and thats what every photographer such aspire to do. I also loved the angle at which this was shot creating a unique viewpoint that is visually challenging. Thank you for submitting such an unusual entry!
Congratulations on such a beautiful image! I knew this was an immediate contender because it truly captured the essence of this brief "Wonderful World of Weird", while still offering up the elements of a very well composed shot. I was looking for images that were more organic where possible and this one hits the mark. The lighting was ideal to create the feel of a very private moment that lures a viewer to take it all in. Than you for submitting this photo to my contest. I found your image remarkably intriguing. The re-touching in this photo created a unusual dreamy image. Something your mind might reminisce with in a restful slumber. I love the fact that it makes the viewer feel they're transcending into a murky world of unknowns. The vivid outlines are enough to lend shape and context without definition. To me, the weird characteristics of this image are also the wonderful ones.! This contest leaves plenty of room for interpretation, as what one person sees as weird may be normal or even beautiful to the next. So I leave it up to you to catch a moment you define as weird. It may be a person, an object, an event, a place or anything in between. Images can be black & white or colour but more than the subject, the image needs to be well orchestrated. Composition, lighting, perspective all contribute to a winning photo. Try to keep the image as organic as possible (photo manipulation to a minimum). Now show me your weird!
