Things You Love

We are but small in the vastness of this world..... it seems like a moment of contemplation... Lovely reflections, both on the sand, and of life. Surfing isnt always about the thrill of a big wave. A wonderful way to frame a hobby that you love. Thankyou for your entry.

I can almost hear this picture. The colours and edit are wonderful. I love the reflection in his glasses and the smoke surrounding him. The way you have captured his style and eccentricity gives him a total rock god vibe. Almost Hendrix-esque. As a fellow lover of live music I appreciate the energy behind this snap.

This picture speaks to me. You do not need to know these children to know the relationship and the love they share. The gentle touch between the two with the younger one feeling safe enough to be in complete relaxation and vulnerability, the older child gently making his feelings known. He is the bog brother. It makes feel invested and wonder how the coming years will unfold for the pair as they grow older and their worlds grow larger

The colour of the background is perfect for the dog. He looks very regal, alert and poised. His long slender neck almost giraffe like. I love the way he is slightly off centre which makes the dog fill the frame. It's just a lovely picture of a very handsome dog. Congratulations

I appreciate the precision taken in capturing such a fleeting moment, you could of missed it so easily. You met the remit perfectly and the picture is exhilarating. It could easily be on an advertising board for a particular make of snowboard. Congratulations

Caught between two worlds. I love the glimpse of what lies beneath. It's very clever. The stormy grey sky in contrast with the blue undersea gives it a surreal effect. A perspective you do not ever see. It's very interesting on the eye. I appreciate the effort taken to capture this.

The look of love captured so sweetly in this adorable family picture. The young child looking so full of wonder and admiration, the teenager gazing back with a look of knowing and acknowledgment. It's a moment between the two caught beautifully. The simple backdrop and lack of colour puts all of the focus on the eye contact between the two.

Everything you love all in one picture. I can tell the older children and the dogs grew together. That's a whole family and they all look happy and well loved, I hope they have many more years together. Time is precious. It meets the remit of the contest wonderfully.

Almost a perfect picture in my eyes, the sharp silhouette of the bird in flight against a full blood moon. The timing is just right and is very atmospheric. It is perhaps one of my favourite pictures that i have seen on this site. In any other competition I would of made it a top 10 but on this occasion there were pictures that I felt met the remit and description more.

This is a beautiful picture, the match of the choice of dress colour against the stone wall really adds to the picture. The fluidity of the dress material, light and breezy and yet matching the curves of the body shape that the dancer is making. Really stunning backdrop. In my humble opinion (and it's just personal preference) I would of prefered if the window was more centralised or perhaps had a small crop on the left side. Very very close to being in my top 10. It's wonderful

This was my number 11, I did actually take it in and out of the top 10 several times. I love the framing and I love the way you have caught the mischievous expression of the foal. It's a beautiful picture with great composition.

The feathered feet of the older cob and the winter coat on the foal give this picture a beautiful texture which makes the ponies look both soft and rugged at the same time. The playful position of the older pony is one that is not often captured in photographs and a side of equine that not many see. The colours are clear and bright. It's extremely endearing. So perfectly caught it almost looks like AI, the plastic vet collar frames his face and draws you into his eyes. The low perspective of the picture gives it a lovely depth making the large paws look even more oversized, it makes him look even more adorable than he already is.

There are no words needed for this picture. It tells the whole story with such simplicity. Love at its purest from a baby who knows little of the world yet. A time which passes so quickly encapsulated forever. A treasure.

I love how the picture is almost storybook like. The gentle seeds floating into the air, caught mid blow, make it magical. The little boys facial expression and outfit make it seem like he could almost be pinnochio come to life. All these elements together make this picture seem like something from a fairytale. I would of rated it higher actually but the remit was 'the things you love' rather than pictures you love. I did read your description because the picture led me in and made me feel like I needed to know more of the story and noticed that the picture was part of a photography job rather than a child that you actually love. I LOVE this picture though.
