Time Travel

I'm not normally a fan of posed shots, but this one is exceptional. The facial expressions are not too forced. I love the textures on the skin. I think the light in the eyes adds to the shot rather than detract from it. Overall an emotional and harrowing image of the effects of war.

A harrowing image. The dull grey sky and snow create both a moody and stark image. One can almost feel the bitter chill and empty solemness of this place. I also find this photo scarily eerie. To my eye there is nothing to place it in time, and thus this image, theoretically, could have been shot before, as well after its horrendous use.

When I first saw this image I thought it was really shot in 1909. It reminds me of an image deep in my memory which I am unable to recall. I am grateful for the suspension of disbelieve, which, for at least a moment allowed me to feel like I was truly looking into the past.

A very exiting and dynamic image. Very nicely composed. Personally I'd like to see a little vapor coming off the wings on the plane in the foreground and possibly a touch of motion blur on the wheels to add to the overall feeling of authenticity.
