I think that this is a really well seen and brave composition. The window is a vehicle that brings us through into the graveyard and is well framed and exposed. I like the balance between the sky and the greenery and I like that the scene isn't screaming 'cliché'. This is strong and simple. Nicely done.
This is lovely and eye-catching. A strong image that has much to do with the quality of light: soft and golden - but I wonder whether the framing choices might have been a little more strict. It seems churlish to too harshly criticise here but the two crosses that flank the central one, 'lean' a little too much. That may be just how they were or there might be some distortion of the verticals - but either way, I wonder where possible excluding the left and moving a couple of inches might have produced something stronger. Or simply moving back an inch to give both crosses more space in the frame. Anyway, for all that, it's a cracking effort. Well done.
I think that this is rather special: not because it's a complication frame but rather because it's the very opposite. The off-centre framing leads us into the picture and the delicacy of the light pics out both the obvious carnation (?) but also the lichen and the yellow of the wild flowers. It's contemplative and quiet and the (I suspect) slight vignetting means our attention is always brought back to the lit cross. Nicely done.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 251 and 1000 in this week’s Leaderboard.** Grave markers in the form of tombstones, headstones and gravestones range from the simple and understated, to the ornate and exuberant. Graveyards and cemeteries are special places, and popular for photographers too. They have a feel all of their own - quiet, contemplative spaces where past lives are all around us, honoured in stone and words. The challenge for the photographer can be in producing imagery that is original, given how familiar we are with them.
