This image is very comendable for composition. However, it could stand some re-processing to remove the sharp white line along the horizon. This is likely a result of heavy handed post processing using the Clarity or Unsharp Mask tools. Reworking that major flaw would make this an outstanding image. Your raw data will yeild excellent results with more subtle processing.

I commend your cheek to enter an image of a partial eclipse photographed in England during the Great American Eclipse! I am quite partial to this type of imagery, full pun intended. It is actually an interesting and well rendered composition and is an image to be proud of.

Well it was challenging to say the least to chose a winning image, but I had to go with this one in the end. The image of the corona is very challenging to capture with a wide angle lens, but this landscape image did the best rendering of the corona. The landscape looks especially dark because there are low hills hiding the illuminated horizon, adding to the mystery of this eclipse which was actually quite bright during totality as a result of the Sun being so high overhead.

I award First Place to this image for subtlety and accuracy of a very difficult subject matter. Congratulations!

2nd place winner. The image of two people holding hands under an eclipsed Sun is very cute and sets the mood of emotional excitement that accompanies total solar eclipses. This image might have been my number one pick if it had shown a bit more of the landscape to clue the viewer in to where this image was created. However, the car and the people make for a very compelling punchline to a story about a road trip to experience a total solar eclipse. Well done!

Another commendable image of a partial solar eclipse, but very difficult to compete against the magesty of totality. I very much like the use of the tree limbs in sharp focus with the softer disk of the Sun hiding in the background. Nicly done photo of a partial solar eclipse.
