Great composition with this one. I love how there is very little sky seen and the trees blanket the frame entirely. I enjoy the greenness and also how the trunks form vertical and diagonal lines. This would make a great puzzle!

Blue skies (as well as gray ones!) are tough to deal with when shooting trees. I shoot a lot of them and it can make or break a shot. In this case, the blue works to contrast the yellow. But the nest is was makes the photograph work so well. Nicely done.

This pictures evokes varying images in my mind from poverty to post apocalypse to even whimsy! It is an unexpected entry to this contest and very welcomed. I like the soft light hitting the granite ball. It softens an otherwise harsh (but pleasant) photograph.

I love how the trunk and branches are so crooked and tell a story for this tree. The orange-brown leaves are great here and even the leafless branches at the top. The sky has just enough clouds to soften the shot. Great shot!

This photograph shoots straight into my psyche. I love the gray skies and brown leaves. I love how your eye follows it from left to right and from the top to the bottom of the frame. It has a painting quality to it and is beautiful.

In this contest I would like to see your photos which show only the tops of trees. The tree tops can be photographed in any season, but since it is winter, snowy or hoarfrosted trees are especially welcome.
