Tree trunks and bark

I love the colors of this photograph, they are so vibrant they almost glow. The contrast of the orange brown and the bluish grey is very appealing. The strong light beautifully highlights the texture and cracks in the bark and creates lovely shadows.

I loved this photo from the beginning. I love the deep grooves which create an interesting pattern and the way the bright green moss adds to the texture. The composition is perfect with the deepest grooves flowing from the centre. The light captures the range of colours and texture beautifully.
