A view I've seen a good number of times myself in the past. As with the majority of pictures entered it brings back memories. Compositionally, I think it's spot on, and I particularly like the detail you have managed to pull out of the shadows with regards everything that appears below the window line. Overall, I love the starkness and coldness one would perhaps normally associate with such a scene. Nicely captured and many thanks for your entry.
Although I've not managed to explore an abandoned greenhouse before, I've seen enough images of them to suggest it would be more than worth it and this is one such image. I love the contrast and the reflections you've caught on the wall to the left with the sunlight coming in through the windows on the right. I also particularly like the dwindling, but all-too evident 'greenness' of the whole scene with the plants that remain. Truly atmospheric and I thank you for your entry.

Perhaps a slightly unusual composition for some - this image struck me that way when I first saw it - but the more I look at it, the more I like it. The cool tones are perfect and I particularly like the sunrays that cut across the centre of the image. However, what I like most of all is that tantalising glimpse of the doorway and the corridor beyond down at the bottom left hand corner. Lovely, well done, and many thanks for this entry.

This kind of shot brings back some memories. I've seen a good few areas within abandoned 'institutions' previously given over to children and which now, years later, can often make for a rather sad and unforgiving atmosphere. I particularly like the colours you have captured here, especially on the wall with the cool turqoise and contrasting hand prints.... and the corridor beyond is a welcome bonus being perfectly lit. I trust you did the whole building justice and stayed for a number of hours having a good wander around with your camera? I would've done! Very nice and thank you for entering.
Another type of structure that, sadly, I've not had the privilege to explore so far - an abandoned swimming pool - they always make for fascinating images and really bring home the point of dereliction and abandonment, especially when devoid of water. I always like a degree of contrast and you've captured that perfectly here between the cool shades of blue and the white tiling. I also like the sunlight appearing through the hole in the roof towards centre top of the shot which tops the shot off nicely. Well done and many thanks for your entry.
I did a slight double take of this image - especially when I noticed it was taken on a camera phone, I must admit. You've captured some wonderful detail here from the detritus on the ground, up through the battered doorframe and to the stairs beyond. The light coming in through what I assume to be a window on the left is a welcome bonus with the resulting detail intact and not blown out. I love it and many thanks for entering.

Urban exploration (often shortened as UE, Urbex) is the exploration of manmade structures, usually abandoned ruins or hidden components of the manmade environment. Photography and historical interest/documentation are heavily featured in the hobby. What I want to see in this contest are your photographs from the inside of manmade structures that now lie abandoned and therefore hidden from the public eye. Photographs showing the exterior of such structures are completely off brief. Having visited many such structures myself over the years, I very much look forward to seeing what you come up with.
