There are many outstanding photos of tulips in this challenge, representing a whole palette of very different kinds of inspiration, styles and techniques. The choice of the Top 10 was particularly heartbreaking for me as many more deserve to be part of it. After lots of tours in the big tulip garden offered to my eyes, I found out that I had a steady favorite photo, as I pushed it to the first place almost from the beginning of my judging. I do love this bunch of flowers, almost put offhandedly in an ordinary glass vase, on a very rustic wooden table. No sophisticated and luxurious presentation. The beauty inhabits the flowers themselves, whether still fresh or starting their slow decay. The bouquet has no real shape but my whole impression is that of great elegance, as the flowers do make the show by their soft pink colours, their textures and their many delicate hues, standing, or even hanging with grace, in a certain disorder. The unusual volume of the soft green and untidy leaves seems to be here for highlighting the flowers. Thank you for participating in my challenge with such a sober and refined picture! Congratulations!
The deep black background extends its shadows over the artistic curling lines of the beautiful golden tulips, with very refined textures in all their details.. These cleverly cast shades give the picture a mysterious look. I can imagine the whole set as an exquisite Art Nouveau jewel, based on this kind of curling floral effect. Thank you for sharing your talent wit us in this challenge! Congratulations!

Joyous disorder for these dishevelled bicolor tulips entirely open and ready to let the petals fall... Mature tulips reveal their beautiful heart and the inner side of the petals all around. Flashy red and yellow on the deep black background. Thank you for joining the challenge with this unusual and outstanding picture! Congratulations!
This very special and well composed photo suggests a deep poetic atmosphere. Another qualitiy of this painting like, almost monochrome picture, is the discretion. of the infinite hues of the dominant greys in the surroundings, even in the soft, curtain like cloth, and in the few white tulips. Only the leaves bring some green colours into the scene. This delightful photo is the proof that tulips do not need to have bright colours as a standard of beauty. The talent of the photographer plays the first role for making stars of the modest white tulips. Thank you for proving this in my challenge with such a great inspiration! Congratulations!
Simple and very graceful bunch of soft pink tulips, nicely arranged in a beautiful blue vase, in total harmony with the powdery blue of the naked backgroud.. Nice composition, pretty lines and perfect balance of the three main colours. The kind of photo that illuminates a day! Congratulations and thank you for your participation!
Whether two flowers or a very smart reflection effect, whatever it is, it looks great and remains an exemple of beauty through simplicity. The deep black enhances the oval shapes of the still closed tulips, the general lines, the fine details in the textures and the waterdrops. Thank you for sharing this beautiful close up portrait of tulips, your way! Congratulations!

Show me your best colour photos of tulips. Let us celebrate tulips, whether they are outdoors in fields or gardens, or as a bunch, bouquet, solitary tulip or close-up. Colour photos only please.
Total simplicity and beauty for this fringed pink and white tulip with all its delicate details, enhanced by the juicy greeen of the leaves and the black background.. Well done! I do know how difficult it is to get accurate sharpness on the right spots with this kind of tulips as the edges use to go in all directions and are easily out of focus. Thank you for showing us what a talented photographer can obtain from only one tulip! Congratulations!

Exploding joy in gorgeous reds and orange! This is the immediate feeling that made me smile when discovering this photo! Excellent idea to have one red tulip standing out alone and sharp while the others are only suggested by the intense fiery blur. The small touches of green and blue enhance the red hues by contrast. Very well done, and so artistically! Thank you for celebrating these bright colours of spring in my challenge!
