Tulips

wow wow wow this for me is super and a image I which I could have captured myself the focus is pin sharp from foreground right through the image, the deep purple flowers are in focus and one can pick up the leafs of the plants well into the image. I like the sky which have been espoused brilliantly with the setting sun behind the tree giving a touch of yellow. This for me is a winner and my number 1 showing the beauty of theses flower in wonderful surroundings well done

This is a lovely Macro study of a Tulip with contesting shades of Pink and White. I find the centre of the tulip an interesting subject for macro photography myself so was drawn to this image by the sharp detail of the pollen picked up on the stigma's. While holding the focus on them it would have been easy to lose the focus and shadows on the petals but that wasn't the case here. A fine macro study well captured.

Where else is it possible to see theses bulbs at their best other then the famous Keukenhof gardens in Holland and this image shows what theses bulbs can look like while at their very best. There is two elements on display here a reminder of the shape and form of the bulb in the statue's of the Bulbs centre piece and the Beauty of the flower and the effect of that shows clearly here. I would have loved to have been there to see this amazing display of colour myself but will settle instead for this image

I love this image, indeed after the rain, I have taken images of flowers just after a rain shower myself and its just adds a touch of magic to the overall picture with the drops. The focus here is very nicely held on the three main tulips so much so one can just about see the reflections of other tulips in the droplets. I like the colours of theses tulips, the red and yellow with just a touch of pink. The stems of the tulips are straight and match the three perfectly, the background is nicely burred but not so burred has to completely render it not interesting. A nice study very well captured

I liked this image the moment I saw the thumbnail, the shades of the flowers drew me in with the pale lemon and white colouration . The focus again is very good showing great lineal petals detail centre but leaving the outer flowers nicely burred, but not overly burred. There appears to be some drops on some of the flowers maybe from a rain shower which one can clearly see. Exposure is held and balanced which isn't easy to do while photographing white or bright colours in strong sunshine outdoors. A pleasing study I like thank you for entering
