Uniforms

I enjoy this shot due to the contrast. This is likely something others have picked up on. Simple but effective. Also matched by the stairs ascending with the uniformed personnel. I can't think of anything to improve this shot. In an ideal world perhaps the lamppost wouldn't be there but it's such a great scene to capture that it's barely noticeable.

Lovely photograph of the two men in kilts. This shot works so well in monochrome as it streamlines our focus to the feet in step with one another. This is also emphasised with blurred background, reducing what else we may be distracted by in the image. A great, timeless shot.

I don't often see many portraits with this sort of crop. It makes for a nice change. Firstly, the children look very sweet in their uniforms so you've captured the brief beautifully there. Secondly, this shot is a lovely natural one - the children are relaxed. Great composition and framing.

A great take on a classic image of the royal guards. I appreciate the angle, it almost aligns with the building in the background on the right hand side, Windsor Town Hall I believe. The colours are very vivid but warm, not saturated or generic. A very well composed shot.

Very clever shot. The two policemen and the civilian all engaged (separately) in the same activity. This shot poses other narrative questions as to context. Additionally, the composition and angle of the the three figures creates a good marker for the viewer to follow as they are in ascending order, smaller to larger. The ratio of the photograph is somewhat comparable to an album cover.
