This contest is for your urban landscape photos that have no sky in the image. Black sky on nightscapes should not be included either. The key point of this contest is that your photos of urban landscapes must not include any sky in the image, not even a tiny amount. When sky is excluded, it can give greater focus on the forms, shapes, colours and tones of the urban scene, which may even become quite abstract. Your image could be taken at street level or from overhead and should contain features that indicate an urban environment such as roads, traffic, buildings, bridges or railways. You can include people in the shot, but they should not be the dominant feature. You should also try not to focus too much on close-up architectural details but instead on a wider urban landscape view. Entries can be in colour or black and white. I look forward to seeing your entries.
Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.
Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
