This is a beautiful, calming image. Very nice exposure at this golden hour time of day. I like the composition of the man sitting on the bench under the tree, it really makes the tree a focal point before drawing my eye into the picture and looking beyond at the temples.

This is a very strong image with nice perspective, leading my eye into the image. The trees stand out very well and really work in the urban tree category. The exposure is handled very well, not losing any details in the highlights or the shadows.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 251 and 1000 in this week’s Leaderboard.** Trees are an essential and welcome component of the urban environment. The ‘lungs of the city’, urban trees are prized as much for their welcome natural appearance as they are for their powers of filtration. In this contest we’re exploring the ways in which urban planners use trees to break up the bricks and the concrete, and how we engage with trees in our urban habitats. For some inspiration, here are two examples from the master, Cartier-Bresson - Allee du Prado , and Jardins du Palais Royal
