At first glance I didn't like your image at all, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. I can see now, how well the sepia tone really works within the nostalgic still life. Every item has been put there with special care and purpose and it all complements each other so well. Many thanks for entering this wonderful still life into the contest.
This is a photo that has really grown on me the more and longer I have looked at it. The overall darker tone has taken me some time to appreciate, but I can see now how well it is working together with the single items to set a certain mood and atmosphere. Every single item is in its right spot, and I think this image tells a wonderful story.
I'm so grateful to you for entering this image. It was the sewing machine that first caught my eyes, as I have terrible memories of having to learn sewing on such 'monster'! It is great that you show the whole furniture, including the foot paddle. The other items around make it a nice still life composition. Congratulation to being my winner.
Minimalism at its finest! The stark colour contrast in this beautifully uncluttered image is stark and purposeful. You don't find walls and windows like this in modern buildings, which makes the surroundings really enhance the impact of this old iron perfectly. I love this entry because it is so different from all the others - brave and good choice.
