A different perspective of a waterfall.Taken from behind this was one of the better examples entered. I would love to have seen more of the water instead of inside the cave. Great detail of the rock formations and love the lighting

Wow, not quiet made my top 10 but this shows the sheer height of the mountain with all the water cascading down it. I love the detail in the rock and also the mist at the top of the photo. Another example that shows waterfalls do not need to be silky smooth. Spot on brief for me

Wow. A stunning shot hot of the Horseshoe Falls at Niagra. the photographer has captured the sunset over the falls as well as the mist coming up from it as well. The scene looks very dramatic and peaceful at the same time. Spot on with the brief

Love this shot for the colours.great capture on the surface of the water, the movement in the clouds. I just feel the falls are lost in the distance and the focus is on the swirl in the foreground. I would love to have seen this as a closer shot of the falls from the same advantage point.

What can you not like about this shot. This shot shows you don't need dramatic waterfall for a great shot. Just love all the colours of the different plants and flowers around this small water drop that is either in someones garden or at a botanical garden. Well done and spot on brief

This shot just proves not all waterfalls need to have the silky smooth water effect. The photographer as captured how nature can be ruthless. Also i wonder what is towards the left of the photo for the guy in the boat not to be taking photos of the waterfall in front of him. well captured and spot on with the brief

Why did this get first place. Love everything about this shot. The silky smoothness of the water,The detail and sharpness in the rocks plus also the reds of the leaves of the plants around the waterfall itself. This is one of those shots i keep coming back to. Well done and spot on the brief.

A stunning waterfall but this time for me its the shoe of the falls that gets you in this one. The photographer has used the Rule of thirds in this shot. love the detail as well in the rocks. Spot on the brief

I would like to see your shots of Waterfalls. They can be from anywhere in the world and they can be fast flowing or taken with a slow shutter speed. Taken at the side of rivers right unto the mountains or even in the jungles. Its can the smallest to the tallest or widest.

Wow Wow Wow. This absolutely works for me in black and white could i honestly see this in colour and say the same thing i don't think so. The silky smoothness of the water cascading over the falls and also capturing the streaky water running away from the falls is superb. Spot on brief.

What I like about this shot is even though there is slot of snow it is still recognisable as the Horseshoe Falls at Niagra Falls. Love how the photographer has got the mist and lights in this shot. Again spot on the brief

This shot is really silly smooth. What i do like about the shot is the colours and the sense of eeriness of the scene. It looks like a scene from an horror movie to me. The detail in the rocks and the black soil makes you think of the parklands of a Tolkien Novel. great capture and spot on brief.

Wow what a stunning waterfall to capture. Again the silky smoothness of the water plus the detail in the rocks and the vegetation. The smooth water in the foreground and the sunset in the back ground shows the photographer as used the rule of 3rds in this photo. Again spot on with the brief
