Young Animals

June 2023

Quite a powerful image of this newborn green monkey this image would have made my top ten all day long had the face of the monkey been more in focus the camera seems to have focused more on the thumb of the adult below rather than the face of the monkey

Hats off to the photographer to get all the labradoodle pups looking at the camera no easy task when working with animals, the image is very pleasing on the eye, the colours blend nicely dept of field is spot on achieved using the 85mm lens at f1.4, a much deserved 1st place well done to the photographer

**This contest is open to photographers ranked 1000+ in this week’s Leaderboard.** A cuteness overload awaits us, as we compile this gallery of animals in their early years. There’s something particularly magical about seeing young animals in the wild, learning how to navigate the world, but both domesticated and wild animals are welcomed in this contest.

Sometimes you dont need to see the face of an animal to know whats going off i really do like the image sharp in all the tight places and good composition i but would also have liked to have seen a wider angle version but still worthy of highly commended
