Great contest!

This one had to be in my top 10. A very stark representation of what we are doing to the atmosphere. I feel the processing you have used has enhance the feeling of doom. Well done and thank you for entering the competition

Thanks for entering this. I chose it because of the way you have shown the extent of the tent city full of protesters right in the middle of the city. My eye is drawn to the trousers drying on the roof of one tent. normality in the middle of it all

Thank you for entering this along with the story. This is a very emotional photograph. It shows sadness and loneliness in his face. It makes you wonder what led him to the streets? . BW is the right choice for this along with the vignette highlighting the man.

3rd It was hard to choose between the Puffins. I chose this one because of the well executed subject. Technically good. But it highlights one of our sea birds which is under threat and the reason, the eels in it's beak, they are reducing in numbers. It could easy be a save the Puffins poster. Well done in getting this pic

This is my winner. It could be a poster for any homeless charity. Sitting out in the snow clutching his source of income while the faceless scurry by ignoring him. His one companion is pleading into the camera. Technically good as well as clearly meeting the brief to highlight a cause without words.

I know the prize is photocrowd exposure but if you are happy send a message and I'll put a wee Scottish sweetie in the post

I chose this because it sums up the people I see each day at work who have mental health problems, the deep sorrow in the eyes and the feeling of no motivation, just wanting to stay in. . The BW and processing works well and enhances the photograph It would be a good teaching aid for any service working in the field. Thank you for entering.

very powerful image and the total opposite of another photo of hands in the competition. I like the BW almost graphic novel treatment on this. The hand has texture and character a working hand so it knows what it's fighting for

Thanks for entering

Thanks for entering the competition. I chose this because it let's people see how the emergency services often put themselves in danger to help others. I like the use of the landscape so we can tell how remote it is with only one car on the road. I also like the detail in the sky

Just wow. This could be the poster for a lot of causes we are seeing in the world today. It's a very powerful image.

Good documentary image. I tried to imagine it in BW but it needs the blood to add to the power, Thanks for entering

I like the composition of this one, It's good that the figure is off to the side and not central. The big sky and the sea adds to the space she is running into. It give a feeling of patriotism for that flag. Thanks for entering

Meet the judge

Thank you for entering this haunting photograph of a child living on the dump. His face shows sadness. This could be a poster for any aid agency who works with the children who scavenge to live. The expanse of the dump is shown in the way it continues past the top

Good street moment juxtaposition of the elderly homeless man alongside the young parent and her child. Did he have that hope in his past ? Does he have a happy family he left behind. ? What brought him to the street ? A good launch for a story

Very good intergenerational protest photograph. it highlights how people who you would not expect to see on the march will get out there to support the NHS. It's bright and I love the wee woman heading the walk .

Thanks for entering

I commended this one because of it's historic value. It shows just how long this cause has been going,

It makes me wonder if this couple ae still protesting, are their grandchildren or great grandchildren with them.

Thanks for entering
