Congratulations for coming firstly place! This image really stood out to me. Firstly the colours work so well and really compliment each other. The detail captured is brilliant, but the depth of field used means that the softer parts of the feather still stay really soft and fluffy looking. I also felt that the raindrops on this image really stood out and added a great deal of interest to the photo. Well done!!
It was so tricky to decide which image out of this one and the one that did come 1st place. In the end I only made yours second as I felt the other felt more "fallen" than placed. But otherwise this image is just as outstandingly shot as the other. I love the tones of the images. Black and white really works to capture every detail. Well done on coming 2nd place and creating such a brilliant image.
Congrats for making it into my top 10. the thing that captured my eye about this photo was the colour toning. I think the dark blue really compliments the white feather. Some would say there are imperfections in this photo, which they would most likely edit out, but for me, this makes it much more of a "fallen feather" image as you know it hasn't been placed there. Well Done.
Congrats for being in my top 5! I love this image so much. It is brilliant that you have got low down to capture this image. Meaning that we can really see the shape of a feather arching over onto the sand. The depth of field also really adds to this image, creating the feeling that the feather is alone on the beach. Well done!

I want to see your photos of feathers that are not attached to anything. The feathers can be real or artificial but must be fallen or taken off the bird or object. If it is a close up of a feather, it needs to be obvious that it is no longer attached. Colour or black and white images are accepted.
