We all know this story too well, and that is what makes this photo so powerful. I don't need to know the exact story of this woman to know her strength. The scene has a very cinematic look which contrasts nicely with the reportage content. The muted colors and the light falling through the dust are magical. Beautiful work.
There are some many great things about the composition in this photograph. I love the gap in the door way, which allows you to see into the vast landscape, and the two characters seated together hidden behind the opaque glass. It allows you to experience the moment just like the couple sitting but from a removed perspective. The shapes and contrast are on point. Just a beautiful shot. Well done.
I really feel like I'm in the story here. I may not know this man, or even see what he looks like, but I can feel the mood in almost a visceral way. It is at once chaotic and peaceful -a metaphor for both strength and serenity. I really also like the choice of color treatment, it feels rough and warn like the subjects themselves, without becoming overdone. Congratulations, this a work of art.

For me this is a wonderful example of a moment that takes us on an emotional trip back to our childhood. The foggy haze acts like a barrier into the void of our past memories, and allows us to relive our lost child within. The use of greyscale also creates a dreamlike state that seperates us from our reality. Well done.

I was surprised how much I like this photograph. I love it purely for its aesthetic. It doesn't really evoke any emotion, which usually I seek in a photograph. The tones and simplicity of subject is soothing to the eye, and I love the use of negative space. Not at all on breif, but I really like it. I'd love to see more of your work.
