This entry caught me eye as soon as I saw it. I always take apart images in my head to find out what it is I find fascinating about them. This one fits the brief in every way, its "Old and Shabby" and yet it possesses an eye catching tidiness and a fabulous range of colours and textures. To be able to convey textures in a photograph is no mean feat and you have done this with ease. Well done for having the Winning image in my contest.

What a wonderful big window! I love the beautiful light that this image has in bucket fulls. There's sunlight, shade and shadows and it creates as separate little image in every pane, whether it has glass in it or not. I love all the shapes that are created through the panels and the tiles below and the beams going across. Its wonderful you have created this myriad of individual little pictures to keep the viewer interested. Its one of those images you can't just glance at but have to keep looking to see all the detail. Many thanks for entering it in my contest.
I've seen this window before from some of my photography friends. It makes your heart melt when you see Teddy Bears in a window looking sad and unloved. Although someone did care enough to put them in a plastic bag! I like the way you have cropped in tight to keep the eye focused on the details in the window and it makes a nice neat image. Well done for getting in my top ten and thank you for entering my contest.

In this contest I would like to see colour photos with only ONE window in your shot, of an old and shabby window. The window can be taken from any direction, whether it be inside looking out, or outside looking in. You can have several panes in the single window, but they must be inside the frame of that one window. This is a colour only contest so no black and white. I look forward to your entries.
