A Vast and Desolate Beach

I really love this images' leading lines. It looks like there are dips in the sand along with a blackish tinge making them a great focus for the eye as they are led into the image and out to sea. The colour of the sky is nice and well toned. The whole image is pin sharp too. It also blends beautifully well together and despite being a paler and softer colour toned image it is lovely. Well done.

Wow, I love the impact and intensity of this image. I love the vast size of this beach and its incredible colour. I hae never seen a black sand beach before. The contrast of the deep black sand against white waves is stunning. How these vast beaches end up empty is beyond me but they look so much nicer empty. I like the angle you have chosen and how you have very little sky as it leads you to focus more on the beach. It is more unusual as many images look straight out to the sea whereas here you are looking at both which has also balanced the image out more. The creativity and unusual nature of this image along with its such high quality is what makes this deservedly my winner as it is an amazing sight and a beautifully handled wonderful image. I really love this image's simplicity. It's almost a two tone image. The darker shadowy area to the left leads you into the image and into the far horizon line as if you are heading out to find the sea. The angle of the image makes you think the sand goes on and on for ages as you can't see the sea. This is what makes the image work so well. The colour of the sky is nice and well toned. I love the clouds and lighter area as this adds interest to the sky. Without this the sky would be too large an area, so well done.The whole image is pin sharp, well handled and creative. This is such an amazing image and a cracking way to interpret the brief. The beach is vast and on brief along with being pin sharp and nicely coloured.
