I like the way you have captured the atmosphere you describe in your photograph. Well done managing to take the shot without getting any other visitors in! I liked the framing of the shot too. Good effort and thanks for taking part.

I thought the composition of your photo was spot on, the light coming through the broken windows which leads the eye to the old fireplace. The colours look beautifully natural and nature has certainly started to take over this old place. The broken ceiling looks quite grand and adds curiosity about what the building once was. I also like the light graffiti above the fireplace.

I felt the simplicity and quality of the photograph made it worthy of the top spot. Thank you for entering the contest and congratulations.

I don't live too far from Dungeness and felt this image captures the atmosphere of the area well. The fishing paraphernalia and the tracks add interest to the shot. Great place to practice photography, I'm sure you had a productive day there. Congratulations on your 3rd place.

Excellent photograph, the framing is brilliant and certainly fits the brief. The view through those large windows looks bleak in black and white. The photograph inspired me to look into the area as I know Suffolk but have never been there. Great photograph of a unique historic monument. Congratulations on 2nd place.

I really liked this image and intrigued as to how much it has been edited? The colours are amazing and I think the detail of the leaves takes the photograph to a new level. A little more description would have pushed it higher into the top ten. Well done and thanks for taking part.

I've just returned from Cyprus but never made it to the North. I like the way the beauty of the beach forms a stunning backdrop of the decaying hut. I wonder what it was used for, alone out there in the sun. Thanks for entering.

Fantastic capture of the reflection of this building in the water. Also, the colour and hue of the shot adds to the serenity of the atmosphere. I think this is a great photograph, thank you for entering the contest and congratulations.

Amazing image and sounds like you really braved the elements to take this photograph! I like the way that something so old and abandoned can be the star of the shot. The blizzard brewing up around it adds interest and I can almost feel the wind. Great photograph, thanks for entering and congratulations on fourth place.

Showcase derelict, uninhabitable or otherwise abandoned buildings. These places always have a story to tell and I would particularly like to see places where nature has started to resurface from the rubble.

Really liked your photograph, the colours are amazing and it really fits the brief. I liked the detail of the brickwork and the fact you haven't been tempted to edit it. Strong competition meant you narrowly missed a top ten spot. Thanks for taking part.
