I have always believed in the communicative power of color. This frame wouldn't be the same if it was presented in grayscale mode. It would have totally lost the unbelievable intensity of the Ochre based color of the closet and of the door, of the time measuring iron rust colors of the fireplace and of the rather "bold" may I add emerald green colors of the walls. The colors here provide additional information about the owners of the house and their taste and they still provide a sense of warmth besides the "cold", lifeless state to which this room has been gradually degenerated into ... A well deserved first place for my standards ...
A lighthouse in the middle of nowhere. A capture that totally abides by basic rules of synthesis, expertly processed and presented. The intense color contrast between the blue sky and the ochre hue ground practically splits the frame into two parts, both equally colorful and intriguing. The huge cement stones form a distinct leading line that guides the eye directly into the abandoned lighthouse. The fact that there are only traces of water around explain the abandonment reasons. A minor flaw in the overall excellent synthesis the slightly tilted horizon. In any case well done my friend ...
Whenever I talk about abandonment related photography, scenes like this one come to my mind ... To anyone's mind in fact ... This photograph has it all ... Atmospheric environment, strong theme, foreground interest, unbelievable sky ... It's HDR processing could have been slightly less emphatic for my taste, otherwise we have a true winner here ... Way to go my friend ...

Judging by its incredibly small size, this Catholic church must have been housing the religious needs of a small number of people living at the surrounding area for quite a while ... It was their church, their divine place, their spiritual roof until a new, more secure, probably larger church was built somewhere close ... Gradually the old church came to look like this ... Abandoned, but still mysterious, still keeping the aura of Divine presence .. A photograph that exhales a sense of sorrow, a beautiful frame indeed ...
I'm quite fond of impressive frames like this one !!! The low light conditions are exceptional and the take absolutely technical !!! Another frame that stands behind an opinion I have had for many years now that colour phtography better suits the needs of abandonment related themes than grayscale one. Way to go my friend !!!

Some of the best photos about abandonment have as an epicenter the way Nature tends to "devour" derelict objects ... Even though they get deformed as time passes by, surrounding Nature gradually and systematically manages to absorb them, to embrace them like a comforting mother her wounded child and turn them visually at least into an artistic creation. This unbelievably beautiful frame falls in this very category. I consider it more of a mosaic piece of art than just a plain photo. Excellent capture my friend no doubt ...
