Abandoned Places

As soon as I saw this image, I knew it was going to be top 3. Many people took photos of abandoned buildings, but very few to no people used something living growing through the emptiness. I think the way that you angled your picture so that you see the the front with the flowers staring down a long corridor of unoccupied building is a remarkable angle, and I would like to congratulate you on winning first place

This photo shows a "Dodgem Car" in the center of an otherwise completely empty room (Except for the chair in the back). This whole contest i was looking for people to not just take pictures of abandoned places, but to also utilize some type of prop. You have done that extremely well with this photo, as it gives the feeling someone has been here, loved this toy, and left it for something else. That story perfectly conveys why you got the position you deserve.

This photo shows 4 boats. Each boat tells a story. One is completely destroyed and has been empty for what appears to be many years, while a large boat with the tall mast is also left behind, leaving the question , why dd they leave it? You photo uses colors to its advantage, and also depth. It is a great photo and congratulations with your placing.

Flies spewed about all over the floor, lights not working, gaps in wallpaper, cardboard thrown around. With 500 photos, this one stood out. It's depth and color and theme all point to one thing, this place was left in a hurry. You have done a great job showing this theme, so congratulations on your placing.

This photo is extremely unique. No one did anything quite like this. The bathtub in the sand was a great idea, as it is not anything quite like the other pictures. They all showed buildings from the outside, but what about the inside? What can a picture tell us about the people who lived there? What about the people who left there?
