This stunning architectural image stood out from the rest of the entires very quickly. The striking high-contrast tones together with the bold shapes and interesting sky are just a few of the reasons that we picked it to be a winner. The central lines draw the viewer all the way into the image and the building seems to go on forever into the distance. The Photographer has shot the structure from a low angle in order to emphasise the distance captured.

This image is a complete contrast to the first place entry. The high-key approach here with the vividly contrasting black and white tones make it really stand out. The bold lines pull the viewer all the way into the image and the strong shapes add interest to the composition. Like the first place entry the lines appear to vanish into the distance and we particularly love that it isn't clear in the first glance exactly what this image is of, it could easily be an abstract painting, which is exactly why it is perfect for this contest.
We really love the shapes in this beautiful capture and the use of colour, which is often rare when it comes to abstract architectural images, is very striking. The curved lines act as a spiral that the viewer will follow round through the image. The bright blue sky stands out dramatically against the orange tones in the building. Again, the photographer had chosen to shoot the building from below which has extended the scale and helped to create the abstract feel.
