Garlic and beer, certainly an unusual combination for a still life image. I like the feel and style that is reminiscent of a Dutch master painting. The old newspaper is a great addition and carries the image to another level. The lighting is well controlled, highlighting the garlic and all the folds in the old newspaper. A very natural feeling to the image that invites me to drink the beer. Well done and congratulations on making my top ten selection.
My number one selection is the immaculately constructed "The 3 graces". A framed image of three pears in prime condition. a personification of beauty, charm and grace, viewed by two pears that are past their best. The lighting from the left falls on all the elements so perfectly that it is difficult to work out if the framed image was constructed in post production layers or actually physically exists. The two viewing pears carefully chosen for their condition and shape appear to lean forward to study the image, like people in an art gallery. There are no distractions with the simple infinity backdrop. Unusual and elegant, well done and a very deserving winner, congratulations.

Chalk and cheese, certainly an unusual combination in a still life image but a common phrase to describe things that don't fit well together. You have managed to arrange these elements in a pleasing diagonal composition so that they almost look natural. The lighting is well controlled particularly on the glass.. The cheese ( Red Leicester? ) looks very tempting! Well done and congratulations on making my top ten selection.
A beautiful yet simple image of two eggs nestled in a wooden branch. I am attracted to this image by the lighting, composition and color. I feel I could reach out and touch these eggs. To achieve this effect in a two dimensional image is exceptional. The shadows on the eggs are gentle allowing me to see the rim of the eggs all around their circumference. Congratulations on making my top ten selection.
