Animals Showing their Tongue (in colour)

What a shame that I never came across this lizard on my Aussie holiday. The colour of the tongue is stunning, and you really caught so much detail of the head and front claw. Amazing image of an amazing animal. Thank you.

Flaunt what you have, seems to be the motto. The detail of the tiger's tongue is amazing and very focused. You must have used quite a long lens for this shot, as I cannot imagine anyone getting that close to these sharp teeth .

What a great idea, shooting through wet glass - a door presumably. Luckily the dog played its role perfectly and the tongue really catches the viewer's attention. Great composition perfectly executed. I love the dog's expression. Thank you very much for entering the contest.

Well, I never!!!! That should be in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year, comic section. This amazing photo has really blown me away, as soon as I saw it. The composition is absolutely perfect with the blurred, green background. This way, nothing can distract the eyes from this amazingly clear, but 'naughty' hare. It's not every day that a hare sticks its tongue out at you!! Clear winner, congratulations.
