Thank you for entering the contest. I like the contrast in shape between the silver spheres and the patterned angular wall. The various shades of grey work well together. The selfie stick that the girl is holding up adds more interest, it draws the viewer in despite its size, as well as adding a splash of colour. The couple is well positioned within the frame and the reflection in the rain completes the overall shot 😀
Thank you for entering the contest. Firstly, I liked the title. I am a big fan of titles and often read them before I look at the images. Both the title and image have a slight air of humour about them 😀. Most of the entries contained buildings of some sort, so it was refreshing to see a statue - cropping and filling the frame has worked well. It does seem as though he is actually trying to shelter from the rain! A winner!
Thank you for entering the contest. Initially, I couldn’t quite work this out, but then I read the description and it all became clear 😀. This image was not the type I had in mind when I created the contest, however, it is architecture and there is rain, so therefore, it meets the brief. Flipping images 180 degrees is something I do occasionally but it doesn’t always make for a better picture. In this case, it does. 10/10 for creativity. Well done!
Thank you for entering the contest. Austria seemed to be a popular choice for images but each one had its own merits. I like the fact that the rain can be seen falling onto the illuminated church. Many images showed wet pavements but no actual rainfall, so this was one of the few. The colours are subdued but not too weak, more delicate. I would possibly have cropped the left side, as I think the building is slightly distracting, but that’s just my opinion.
Thank you for entering the contest. Love the combination of colours and particularly the red umbrella and shoes of the passer by. Without these accessories, the woman would not have been as noticeable, so well spotted. I’m not a great fan of centreing the subject, but sometimes to get the shot you have to just quickly press the shutter! I think it works in this image though, and she doesn’t distract from the somewhat interesting architecture. 😀

For this contest submit your images of Architecture on a rainy day. Modern or ancient architecture, colour or black and white, as long as there is rain present. I realise that rain has been a bit scarce in some regions during the past few weeks, so you may enter an older image, but preferably not one that was taken 2+ years ago. Please do not use software to add raindrops - it must be real rain! Architecture may include commercial or public buildings, monuments or structures, cathedrals or palaces etc. However, please do not submit infrastructure, such as bridges or roads, since these are defined as civil engineering. Do not forget the title else it will be disregarded. I have seen some good images in my previous contests but without a title, so these were not judged. If you can't think of anything suitable, just use the contest title! Good luck!

Thank you for entering the contest. When I first saw the image, the bronze sphere reminded me of a giant Christmas pudding! You have met the brief, by including both architecture and falling rain ☔️. I like the fact that the sphere is off centre and well placed in the frame. Despite not being as brightly coloured as some of the other entries, the muted tones are still visually appealing, and the colours have not been overly saturated.
