What an Image this is, as soon as I saw it in the thumbnails I knew it would do very well in this comp, I think its shouts Autumn. its got everything going for it and I honestly cant think now it could be better. The use of a slow shutter speed to get the swirling water combined with a high f number has nailed this perfectly. The colours is beautiful from the fallen leafs in the swirling water to the green of the moss on the rocks. The focus sharpness is Pin sharp throughout the picture. A very pleasing picture worthy of first place well done
This again is a very nicely captured scene of the fall, it was very close between this and my number one however I felt this was just edged into second place. the overall picture is very good, great scene and reflections but I think the image was captured more for the reflection then overall autumn scene. I am left wondering it the photographer should have walked to the right a bit more and maybe got the shot from another view point, then he may have got double a mountain reflection as well has some autumnal colour from the trees.
I love this image, I just which I did have taken it myself. the mirrored calm of the water with the setting sun is very relaxing and its is actually a very relaxing scene. The flight of geese and their reflection is brilliance and really makes this image work. Although there doesn't appear a lot of Autumn colour in the vegetation and surrounding trees there is just enough for me.
I thought I did review this image because it did appeal to me, I liked the idea of the young lad helping Dad rake up the leaf fall from off the lawn, although I think he did enjoy playing in them more. the rake looks massive in his little hands but from the look on his face he's giving it 100 percent. the background is nicely buried resulting in a very pleasing autumnal scene well captured
Ah yes the roman bridge at Bets-y-coed in Wales, a very picturesque setting for this image. The soft water with the reflection of the sunlight works well in this image.,the focus is spot on and very sharp. Overall a very pleasing scene well captured, I don't think I can better it has when I was last in that area the river was at least another 6 feet higher then in this picture and you couldn't get anywhere near the bankside
This is another scene I liked, the red squirrel surrounded by autumnal colour in the leaf fall on the ground. These animals don't stay still very long so I think this one must have heard something to freeze still like this, getting down to eye level makes this image work better then if the photographer stood up to take it.
I did like this image also, it has a lot going for it, super colours of autumn from the beech trees which are wonderful with their copper colouration, the moss on the rocks with the dappled lighting just poking through the trees catching the foreground rocks adds to a beautiful scene. The mill stone is hidden by a fall of flesh leafs has if the very fact mother nature didn't want it discovered

This shows that the photographer has a good eye, I like the leading eye here from the first tree into the distance. the leaf colour is very good with yellow and gold, the shadow from the tree trunks brown, the spacing between the trees with the shadows gives this image a surreal feeling. I could easily see this on a canvas print on the wall its a very pleasing autumnal scene very well capture
