Autumn is not all about a sea of vibrant reds and yellows. There is a wonderful period where the seasons are changing where just a hint of colour appears, captured brilliantly in this shot. We love the painterly atmosphere and receding detail, into the mist, while the colour range is natural and restrained. Very nicely captured indeed. Well done!

A classic view of a spectacular subject. This shot of Yosemite is one of the most recognised views in the USA, so capturing something new is a challenge. However the photographer has managed to introduce a sense of change with the autumnal colour, while maintaining a technically perfect and natural exposure. Ansel Adams would no doubt approve.
We always appreciate a new take on a brief and this shot is just what we mean by this, while it does not force the autumnal theme, the colour is definitely there in the frame and the muted tones convey the cold and wetter days found on autumnal walks with your four legged companion. The eye contact really creates winning a connection too.
We're certain this scene would look good in any season, but it is certainly complemented by the frame of autumnal colours. The composition is uncomplicated and leads us nicely to the clear main subject, which is well exposed and perfectly placed. An effective and lovely scene to inspire the imagination.
We saw a lot of landscapes this round, but sometimes it's nice to look more closely. This detail shot really fits the brief and perfectly captures the colours, detail and atmosphere of the season. We love the out of focus areas too, revealing just enough detail to provide context while giving the scene as a whole an impressionist style. Nicely done.

Hide and reveal is a common photo and cinema technique and this shot demonstrates its power well. This season is about unpredictable, changeable weather as much as it is about colour, so this composition, with its autumn hues partially hidden behind a veil of fog, captures the atmosphere precisely. A minimalist and eye-catching shot. Congratulations.

Autumn/Fall is a favouite time for landscape photographers, but this round we'd like to see images which look beyond just the rich colour. Shoot misty mornings, people in the seasonal landscape and look to capture details which tell a story
