Backlit portraits

In this technical contest, we'd like you to try your hand at backlit portrait photography. Even the most mundane scenes can be transformed by the right lighting, and backlit photos are a great way to bring your subject to life. Photographing someone who is standing directly in front of a light (whether it's the sun or something else) can present a number of technical challenges, primarily relating to exposure. However, don't despair. There are plenty of resources online to give you the confidence to shoot dreamy backlit portraits or silhouettes, and this is an opportunity to learn!
