Beach Huts

Wow, I want to go to this beach. Being by the seaside and watching steam trains go by what could be better. This image stimulates all the senses, a nostalgic sight, the sound of the waves and the train passing and the smell of the steam and the ozone. Great image with good composition, sharpness and depth of field. Well done it really does capture a great moment.

I'm really pleased these beach huts weren't ignored as they aren't as colourful as many beach huts. I really like the way that the wind breaks introduce the colour and by the looks of the way they are a tad shredded they are very necessary. This image is very relevant to the brief, it captures the moment well. Colours are great, depth of field is good. I'd have been interested in a wider view, maybe have even made it into a panorama. Great image though.

The combination of the bicycle and the beach huts works perfectly. It brings a sense of age to the image. The composition is bang on and we have a nicely exposed sharp image with vibrant colour. Wouldn't it have been great if the owner of the bicycle had been sitting in the porch of the beach hut?

What a find this image is. What a fascinating beach hut. I love it's colours, it's corrugated roof, the shutters on the window and it's wheels. Is that a two piece fishing rod hanging next to the sieve? What does the sign on the door say? What does the sign on the post say? It's a great image, very well photographed, but in my opinion it needs some accompanying information to satisfy us curious.

I love the way this image is contrary to a typical beach hut image depicting neat structures and a multitude of colours. The blue in this image is striking and I like the way that the weather has worn it in places. I'm also drawn by the red chair and the outboard engines too. It's a great image with good composition. Although I'm not distracted by the background, personally I would have played around with different aperture settings to blur the background a little.
