Great contest!

Amazing! The symmetry disturbed by the little bird...it immediately catches the eye. Well done for the framing and the way you centered the roof. I really have no bad words about this. Greyscale is a fantastic choice as well, really, really well done!

You were a bit cheeky, entering the same photo twice. However, this version of your photo is much better thanks to the tighter crop. Honestly, I think you should've cropped even tighter and turned it into a portrait. Overall, I like the colour and the bird and it is a nice shot. Well done!

I love the minimalism of your picture. I cannot praise enough the use of grayscale and knowing when colour is too much. There's a natural feel to it, even though it's not oh-so-technically-correct. The bird seems lonely and cold, yet so beautiful and dark. Well done!

This is the first placed picture in my top 10 simply because it was unique. It's not entirely on brief (and few entries were), but it caught my eye and I wonder if it was taken this way or it's cropped. Either way, I think the photographer has a great sense of composition. The little bit of colour provided by the cables is just perfect. I have nothing bad to say about this and I'm happy to see a different answer to a rather common theme. Well done!

Fantastic shot! It immediately caught my attention and I felt drawn into the picture. It's a bit of a silly shot, yet weirdly dramatic. I see nothing that should be changed and I'm so, so happy you used monochrome/greyscale. Well done!

Have you ever taken a picture of a bird and it was too dark, too blurry, too somehow that's not exactly like all the famous pin sharp, full view pictures you always see? Well, now's your chance to let your pictures shine, no matter how imperfect. I'd like to see your pictures of birds, but only their silhouettes. Have fun shooting!

I am very happy with the use of grayscale in this picture. Knowing when colour is too much is a very good skill to have. It almost looks like these are bird hybrids, yet they look surprisingly delicate. I appreciate a good crop (regardless of the rule of thirds) and I'm happy to see that there's not too much detail drowning the birds. Well done!
