Wow, this is different! I love how you have called this 'pecking order' because when you then see the image with the bird to the right showing its rear end to the others it's like it's saying something rather rude to the other birds. But then you see the two birds next to it, looking at each other and not listening. Finally the one on the end to the left is looking at them all in disbelief. It makes for a well composed, sharp and cracking funny image. Well done.
This is such an amazing image. The interaction between the two birds is wonderful. In fact it's what makes the image work so well. Their beaks being open and almost touching is brilliant. I'd suggest a one pixel border in white to stop the image being lost against the black screen it's viewed on but it's a cosmetic thing as opposed to a technical. The birds are pin sharp and have enough room in the frame and are composed fantastically well. You haven't got too much empty space of white either. Congratulations and well done for a very worthy winning image.

This image makes me laugh everytime I see it. This is because the position of the bird on the left not only has one leg but also appears to be headless! The other one seems to be looking at it in disbelief, making the image incredibly funny. I like the composition with the larger white space to the left. Well done.
I really like the simplicity of this image and the softer thinner silhouette lines as it makes the image appear sophisticated. The birds and T.V aerial are all sharp, well composed and it sits well in the frame with just the right space all around it. The one in flight is great as it adds another dimension. Well done.
