A stunning monochrome scene with a great range of tones that make the picture 'pop'! The mist increases in density as one'e eye moves through the image from front to back and this gives a real sense of depth adding a third dimension. The reflections of the trees in the foreground water reveal an almost absence of mist here further adding to the 3D effect. A timeless image.
Wastwater is one of my favourite places in the Lake District. I think that is because it is dark and moody in contrast to many of the other 'pretty' lakes! You have managed to capture this feeling very well. The JCB (Joe Cornish Boulder) lead into the picture is an excellent compositional device and the exposure choosen is just long enough to smooth out the surface of the lake but still retain definition in the clouds.

The compositional elements in your image are excellent and you have brought them together to make a super photograph. The three well placed dark foreground trees balance the dark hill on the right and there is an implied diagonal link between them. The animal bottom right is very small but very important. If you cover it up the image is diminished. There is also a second implied diagonal between this and the small feature above the trees on the left. The sky talks to us! Great image.

A magnificent portrayal of this very impressive vista. The figure is ideally placed and sitting on the fence, forms not only a great lead in to the picture but also serves to lend a sense of scale. The item in the bottom right hand corner serves as a good visual counterpoint to the seated figure and keeps the viewers eye firmly in the frame.
A beautifully rendered Cityscape. The angle of the setting sun on the buildings has resulted in a full range of tones from deep luscious blacks to bright metallic highlights. This emphasises the modernity and nature of the structures. The foreground foliage and the smaller buildings add a real depth to the image.
This is a very impressive view of a scene I know well. The strong lead in from the bottom left hand corner takes the eye across the river and round to the well placed buildings. This is well balanced with the sweep of the river flowing from right to left and tumbling over the weir. That sky is magnificent! Just one minor crit - the image feels like it is sloping down left to right slightly and would, in my opinion, benefit from straightening a tad.
