Black and White (no colour-toning)

Firstly, thank you for entering my challenge. The weather beaten shoes prove to us that these shoes have plenty a tale to tell. What the story involves we shall never know but can only fathom The slight grunge effect works well as such does the scratchy appearance of the background making the image look more authentic . A very swell composed image with many memories beholdeth. Congratulations and well done!

Firstly, thank you for entering my image . The low key tends to work well as it is obvious by the presence of the back view of the chairs that we find ourselves in either a cinema or theatre. The tones would've been darker than usually would've been the case. One also tends to feel a sense of minimalism and negative space as well as proving the concept of that less is more - We also begin to wonder as to the meaning of the empty cinema or theatre and ponder as to why the gentleman is alone . The answer to this question to which we shall never know. Congratulations and well done!

The tones work perfectly as well as the slightly lower key giving the image a deeper, darker and mostly ominous feeling to the image Congratulations and well done!

The slightly downcast look of the the young lady brings many questions to arise- is there something she is looking at or is she caught up in her own world? The answer to this question we will never know but can only surmise . The slightly darker tones and low key tend to give the image a more ominous feel than would've otherwise been the case. The symmetry in this image works perfectly the staircase and rails being in perfect symmetry with each other The simplicity of this image proves to us once more how a daily subject can be transformed into a piece of fine art .The higher key of the image works well in this particular image.
