There was so many great images entered into this challenge but unfortunately the photographers missed out something in the brief....This entry is a great example of following the brief, it's b&w,a portrait and it has the make ,model and year of the car. There was so many entrants that had missed at least one of these specifications in the brief. However this image is An absolutely beautifully created portrait that has great lighting and clean lines.i like angle and the care taken to centre the car into the frame so that if mounted into a picture frame could grace the wall of any car enthusiast. For me its magazine quality and I congratulate the photographer and thank you for your great image. Very well done on 1st place.
In this image I like the setting the photographer has captured for this car, the image has a portrait feel to it that could be on a callendar ,the car stands proud in the foreground and is nicely framed,I am pleased to give this image a top ten placing as the photographer has taken care in producing a super on brief shot. Very well done.

With or without the starburst in this image I whould have chose it for my top ten, in my brief I asked for a car portrait, this portrait is different from most and stands out, the dark background gives this image a sense of mysticism ,I'm also pleased the photographer followed the brief as well as taking great care in creating a well balanced and beautiful image, very well done.

This is a super fun image of an iconic car, the photographer has portrayed the details of the owners beliefs and how they see the world, the number plate has the word Hippie and the car decoration fits in nicely, a portrait doesn't have to be the whole car to capture the character of the subject as this image has achieved.
I have chosen this image for my top ten for a number of reasons, it is on brief and has a super angle and I especially like the fact that the Land Rover is in its natural setting, it's not always a fancy or sports/racing car that makes a good image, when we get away from the exotic in images our eyes can be opened to other elements in photography. I congratulate this photographer for creating this super image, very well done.

For this challenge I whould like to see portraits of MODERN cars in BLACK & WHITE ONLY, I don't want to see any garages or petrol pumps or cars in museums . This is about the car, NO PEOPLE ALLOWED. By modern car I refer to any car registered after 1965. Your image should be of the car exterior. it's not as easy as it sounds, think angle, shapes, light and sharpness. In your description there should be the make and model and year of the car. In my competitions I try to challenge you to try something different - you don't need big lenses or expensive cameras for this challenge, but I prefer NO phone images, Think of your favourite car and go out and photograph it. PLEASE REMEMBER THE BRIEF, you can have the best picture but if it's off brief in any way, I will not consider it. Good luck.
Thank you for your entry into this challenge, I can't help feeling that cropping off the building in the background to a 16.9 format would have centred my eye on this great portrait of the Aston Martin, sadly though without adding the year of the car it failed to meet the brief, the number plate also says it's pre 1965, and is pre 1963 .it really is a shame as I would have awarded it.
The number plate on this image made me smile! The photographer has captured this little car in a way that I can pick out the details ,for example ,the little swing ventilation window (quarter light) on the right hand side of shot above the wing mirror, and the lighting is just right, it's a super shot, my only criticism is ,without the other car in shot I would have judged it into my top ten. Thank you for entering a super On Brief image.
