There were so many fantastic entries in the contest, it was difficult to make the placings.
The serenity of this shot caught my eye. It has a well balanced composition and the underneath of the bridge guides the eye to the buildings on the riverside.
Sunrise is a tricky time to capture the light well and your subtle use of exposure blending has worked perfectly well. Did you consider using a ND filter I wonder?
The reflections are captured well and make the image so much more interesting.
A great effort, well done.
The standard of entries in this contest has been very high and it has made judging very difficult.
This shot attracted me by its warn and calming tones . It has a pleasant composition with the boat and clock tower providing a good balance.
I might have tried a narrower aperture or even focus stacked a series of images to get better clarity throughout the image.
The subtle reflections just add to the serenity portrayed here. Great shot, well done.
The standard of entries were very high in this contest, making it very difficult to choose placings.
The warmth of this image with the golden glow on the boathouses caught my eye in particular. This is a very well balanced composition using rule of thirds to centre on the boat houses whilst balancing that with the bank opposite.
Long exposure with f22 has smoothed the water very well and the depth of field makes the image sharp throughout. I wonder what difference a blend of focus stacked images would have made to the overall clarity?
A beautiful image, well done.
There were so many excellent entries in this competition but this one really caught my eye for a variety of reasons.
The colour saturation is so rich and absorbing, depth of field is strong throughout although personally I would have gone to around f14 to increase the sharpness, composition is balanced with the bicycle as foreground interest …..whose bike is it? The people talking providing intrigue…..what are they talking about in the rain? Does the bike belong to one of them?
Then the reflections work so well, just enough detail (maybe too much with the ‘to let sign?) to finish the image off.
The pavement line is placed really well to guide the eye through the image from front to back.
Overall a great image, very pleasing and thought provoking to look at, well done.

The standard of entries for this contest were very high and it made judging very difficult indeed.
The unique perspective that you took with this shot is what first attracted me, coupled with the rich colours and reflections.
Even at ISO 100 it appears to me that there is quite a bit of noise, perhaps this is the result of post-processing (or maybe just my eyes!). Maybe a narrower aperture might allow for a sharper image throughout?
I think that you have produced a great hand held shot with imagination and demonstrating post processing skills. Well Done!
